Echo when connecting to PSTN gateway
Hi guys,
I recently tried Vivex on site and came across an issue with audio and tone echo when connecting to the PSTN gateway. It's a bit annoying. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Re: Echo when connecting to PSTN gateway
Hello,
it can be fixed with hardware echo canceller but it depends on the PSTN gateway if it has that feature.
can you specify the brand and model of PSTN gateway you've used?

Hi Freedomz,
I am not sure about the brand, but it came as a set from your company.

it might be VG3XE:
Normally, Echo Canceller in VG3XE is already enabled.
but if you still encountering such problem,
I would like you to reduce "Gain to IP"
To do that:
1. Enter the IP address of the VG3XE PSTN Gateway in any web browser to access its Web UI. Example. 192.168.1.50
2. Login using admin account, and input its password, default password is 'voip'
3. Hover cursor over 'Trunk' tab, then press 'Advanced tab'
4. Reduce 'Gain to IP'
5. Save changes
